Currently, the intersection has painted white lines on the pavement where the concrete bulb would be installed.
The crosswalk from a driver's view
The images above show the view approaching the crosswalk from the west heading east. The area where improvements will be made are in the circle. Currently, there is a painted curb bulb at this location, but signage is far to the left on the curb, and the painted curb bulb is not visible to drivers.
The images above show the view approaching the crosswalk from the east heading west. This shows the painted curb bulb with white delineators. This is the location of the proposed concrete raised curb bulb which will be much more visible, and will allow the crosswalk sign to be moved several feet further into the intersection. Currently, it is located far to the right in the picture and does not have a prominent position at the intersection.
